19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid season, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in particular - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and finally separating with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Now working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt after that period of the previous year.
Success also means the Russian has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one distinct events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a championship is really nice," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had lost his previous six finals, including in that event in the past months.
The player's defensive strategy and frequent outbursts on court had caused some to wonder if his skill to compete at the highest level was over.
But the player has made changes in the past month, attempting to advance forward and perform aggressively, backed up by an better service.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult opponent, securing four of the last five games to take the lead.
The pair exchanged service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his initial ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
The opponent defended 4 initial chances in a competitive third set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the win with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet incapable to handle a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
