'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League homecoming

Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is at the moment two years through the four-year agreement he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden important honor of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he earlier was, and would seriously think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy wait, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's primary focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
